Savory Scones
I wish I could take credit for this yummy breakfast treat, but alas, the recipe is from King Arthur Flour. They even have a tutorial on this one http://www.kingarthurflour.com/blog/2008/07/16/bacon-cheddar-scallion-scones-love-at-first-bite/ . The bacon came from Garrett's Butcher Shop in Algood, along with the cream. I can't remember where the cheese came from...Steve Garrett and my CSA (community supported agriculture) http://redspringsfamilyfarm.blogspot.com/ sell the same cheese. It's aged white cheddar. The chives came from my little garden/front porch pot. :)
